Sneak Peek News for the week of September 4-8

Happy Friday!!  We've had another great week in 2nd grade!!  Thank you to everyone who joined me at Parent Orientation this past Tuesday night.  It was a pleasure sharing with you the exciting things we will be doing, and I enjoyed my individual visits as well.  Also, all 2nd graders will be taking the MAP tests the week of September 11th so check the dates listed below for my class.  A letter will be coming home Tuesday in your child's binder about the MAP tests, too!  We're definitely off to a great start, and I'm so excited about our year!!  I hope you all have a nice Labor Day weekend and don't forget to read, read, read!!

Important Dates:
*Monday, September 4th - School Holiday (Labor Day)
*Tuesday, September 5th- Hat Day and Gum Day
*Tuesday, September 12th - MAP Reading (9:45 AM)
*Friday, September 15th - MAP Math (9:45 AM)

Test Dates:
*Friday, September 8th - ELA Skills Assessment, Math Assessment
*Wednesday, September 13th - Spelling and Vocabulary Assessment (We will start spelling and vocabulary next week, so I'm attaching the list for you and there will also be a hard copy in your child's binder on Tuesday.)

Important Notes:
*Gatorsize for 2nd graders will be every Monday and Wednesday.  It's from 7:30-7:55. 
*Non-uniform dress day will be every Friday.
