Sneak a Peek at Next Week (February 26-March 2)

Happy Monday!!   My students used Google Slides to make presentations about famous African Americans.  First, they had to record their research and then they put this information on a Google Slide.  They presented their projects today, and I was so impressed with their projects.   Also, MAP testing will be coming up soon, probably around the third week of March.  I will give you the dates as soon as I know them.  Please encourage your child to work on Compass Learning at home as this is a great site for MAP practice!!   I hope everyone has a great weekend and don't forget to read, read, read!

Sneak a Peek at Next Week (February 5-9)

Happy Friday!!  What an amazing experience my students had with our Economics unit!!  They learned about supply and demand, needs and wants. producers and consumers, income, interest, savings, good and services, and advertisements.  We thoroughly enjoyed our field trip to Publix and the "behind the scenes" tour.  They filled out job applications and were hired to work in a factory to make a certain product.  They worked so hard to make their goods, along with their advertisements, for their products.  I hope everyone has a great weekend and don't forget to read, read, read!

Sneak a Peek at Next Week (January 15-19)

What a great time we had on our field trip to Publix!!  I wanted to share some cute pictures from our field trip, and give a huge THANK YOU to all of my volunteers who joined us: Mrs. Martnez, Mr. Pelt, Mr. Lemon, Mr. Fraizer, Mrs. Robinson,  and Mrs. Campbell.  We had a wonderful time, and I think the students thoroughly enjoyed themselves.  We are in the process of learning all about economics- supply and demand, needs and wants, goods and services, consumers and producers, income, and bartering.  We will be working in our Winter Workshop factories soon to make goods to sell to our classmates.  What a fun and exciting way to learn about economics!!!
